As most of you know, Hillary’s speech did not go over well with her hardcore supporters. While she promised her support to Obama her body language, face and soul told a different story. Her supporters seem as determined as ever to continue the fight to make her President either in 2008 or 2012.
The first thing I found odd about the suspension of her campaign and support for Obama is that the comments that were posted the blog at HillaryClinton.Com were nearly 100% against Barack. Hillary Clinton supporters were as passionate as ever about fighting to Denver and if necessary voting for McCain.
What is unusual about this is that the comments at her website are moderated. This means that while she was giving her speech supporting Barack Obama the person(s) managing her blog were pushing forward with a very different agenda. Now you all know as well as I do that there are some supporters that will stand by her decision to support Obama. We also know that the Obama trolls like to pose as Hillary supporters and encourage everyone to support him as the nominee. This is expected.
Why then, even as Hillary was making her speech, were the only comments being approved anti Obama? Wouldn’t it make sense that if Hillary Clinton really believed we should support Barack the comments on her own website would be moderated to make that message the focus? Instead the entire open thread is filled with comments from those of us who will never vote Obama. You can read them for yourselves here.
I know the Obama trolls will come by to argue with facts so I provide you with this quote from one of their own.
“I don’t think I’ve ever viewed Hillary Clinton more highly than I do today; she gave exactly the speech that she needed to for the Democrats to begin to reunite. That being said, there’s something about all of this that’s making me uneasy. Over the past few days, I’ve tried to post several comments on the Hillary blog responding to supporters who claimed that they’d rather vote for McCain than “BHO.” I took a pro-Hillary slant and explained that Hillary was admirable for fighting to the end, but a vote for McCain is akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face as well as everything Hillary stood for. I went on to explain that it looked like Barack Obama’s similar platform was the best means of pushing Hillary’s ideas forward, and that staying home or voting Republican would work against woman’s rights, and government sensibility. None of my comments got approved by the moderators, but all of the ‘McCain all the way comments’ did. I’m pissed that they only accept Pro-McCain comments and delete all calls for sensibility. Something doesn’t add up.”
There you have it folks. Never mind the same tired talking points that Obama trolls like to use to persuade us to back the chosen one. This is a first hand account of the moderation that goes on at Hillary’s website. Obviously, they don’t like Obama trolls either. Again I ask, why if Hillary Clinton knew she would be throwing her support behind Barack on Saturday would her moderators not have orders to let these types of comments in and keep the pro McCain comments out? From this outsiders perspective it sure looks like Hillary Clinton has a different agenda than the one she was forced to present this weekend.
Will she continue the fight at the convention? Is she aiming for 2012? I really hope not but could she be aiming for the VP spot? Whatever her plans may be I take this as a clear sign that her speech was simply a show to keep the powers that be from destroying her. Her own website tells a very different story.
